In 1883, Friedrich Fischer designed a ball mill that, for the first time, allowed machines to be used to produce steel balls with high precision and in large volumes in Schweinfurt, Germany. This idea is considered the historic beginning of the rolling bearing industry, which then started its widespread success around the globe from Schweinfurt. Since its acquisition by INA-Holding Schaeffler KG in 2001, FAG has become a very important part of the Schaeffler Group.
Whether it is high-precision bearings for aerospace applications, sensor wheel bearings for passenger cars, or large-size bearings with outside diameters of over four meters for wind turbines, FAG products are the number one choice for all customers.
SKF has been a leading global technology provider since 1907. The fundamental strength is the ability to continuously develop new technologies – then use them to create products that offer competitive advantages to customers. SKF achieve this by combining hands-on experience in over 40 industries with our knowledge across the SKF technology platforms: bearings and units, seals, mechatronics, services and lubrication systems.
NSK Bearing Seiko Co., Ltd. (NSK LTD.) Founded in 1916, is Japan's first domestic design and production of bearings manufacturer. For decades, NSK has developed countless new bearings, to meet the needs of users around the world, and industrial development and technological progress has made a significant contribution. NSK Bearing the same time, by virtue of its precision machining company's technical superiority, and constantly develop auto parts, high precision mechanical components, precision and advanced products in the electronic application areas such as active diversification.
The NTN bearing technology has reached the delicacy of nanometer. This technology has been applied in the field of orbiter, aviation , railroad and automobile , paper making equipment , office equipment and food machinery.NTN Corporation was founded in 1918 in Japan, and its headquarter is located in the west of Osaka. It has 11 manufacture institutes, 25 business offices and 3 research institutes in Japan and 20 sole ownership plants, 2 research institutes and 48 business offices overseas.
TIMKEN Bearing The company was founded by Henry Timken in St. Louis, Missouri in 1899 and incorporated as The Timken Roller Bearing Axle Company. A year earlier, in 1898, Timken got a patent for the tapered roller bearing for which the company would become known. At the time, Timken was a carriage-maker in St. Louis and held three patents for carriage springs. However, it was his patent for tapered roller bearings that allowed his company to become successful.Tapered roller bearings were a breakthrough at the end of the 19th century because bearings used in wheel axles had not changed much since ancient times.
